Taking full advantage of the multi- and inter-disciplinary research environment provided by the Università Vita-Salute and the Fondazione San Raffaele, the 2-year Masters degree in Philosophy aims to dispel the artificial distinction between humanistic and scientific culture and to constitute a bridge towards the workplace.

Teaching programs within the Faculty cover 3 main areas:

  • Theoretical philosophy and the history of philosophy;
  • Analytical philosophy, cognitive neuroscience and language;
  • Moral and political philosophy.

Study programs are devised by students themselves, on the bases of Training Credit pre-requisites and of the courses offered (both by the Faculty of Philosophy and by other Faculties) in any given academic year. For example:

  • Personalized interfaculty study program in cognitive neuroscience
    Students who so wish may devise a study program in which they sit exams run by the Faculty of Psychology (e.g. The Neurobiology of Language, Cognitive Science and Neuroimaging, Neuropsychology, Action and Perception)
