PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience
The Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, ranked among the best Italian Universities for scientific research in the field of Neuroscience, offers a PhD program in Cognitive Neuroscience aimed at the advanced training of graduates interested in understanding the neural processes underlying cognitive functions and behavior, both in normal conditions and in neurological and psychiatric diseases. The Doctorate Course offers to the students the possibility of accessing numerous research areas with dedicated laboratories and the most modern neurophysiological and neuroimaging methods to enable advanced studies in the subject areas proposed by the Doctorate:
- language neuroscience
- neurobiology of memory and learning
- perception and action
- neuroscience of emotion and decision-making processes
- psychometrics and quantitative modelling
The Doctorate responds to a growing interest in Cognitive Neuroscience, with a proposal aiming at recruiting and training students with a master’s degree obtained in different fields, mainly psychology, but also biology, biotechnology, medicine and philosophy, in order to train professionals with a solid background of knowledge and ability to use the most modern instrumentation for the study of cognitive functions and behavior in normal conditions and pathology.
The PhD course takes advantage of synergies with international networks established by UniSR and of the experience of professors from foreign universities with high-level specialist training.
THE PHD COURSE IN COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE WILL NO LONGER BE ACTIVATED FROM THE A.Y. 2022/2023
