The Faculty – Philosophy

Launched in 2002, the Faculty of Philosophy of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University aims to interpret philosophy as concrete thought from an

interdisciplinary and pluralist perspective. Philosophy is thought of as a way to interpret the issues and challenges of the modern world and to plan for the future.

This programme explores the ethical and political issues fundamental to a modern, globalised, multicultural and technological society that is characterised by scientific progress. The Faculty of Philosophy recognises the significant importance of the interaction between philosophical thought and science, in particular the field that investigates the mind and how it thinks and makes decisions.

The Faculty of Philosophy offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and a Master’s Degree in Philosophy of the Contemporary World
