Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
The tutorage system adopted by CLI-UniSR is based primarily on two figures – the professional tutor and the Internship supervisor – who help the academic staff develop and manage professional training activities and accompany students throughout the course.
All Bachelor’s degree in Nursing students have free access to tutorage.
The Bachelor’s degree in Nursing participates, along with the other bachelor’s degree courses of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and Psychological Sciences, in a Ministerial project for the development of tutoring services.
The professional tutors are nurses who have well-honed expertise in the teaching and nursing sector. They are authorised to work with the Director of professional didactics to plan and conduct workshops, organise and manage internships and create the best possible conditions for the performance of the various training activities programmed.
Internship supervisors are nurses who guide and assist students during their internship while they perform their routine professional duties. They act as “role models” who guide students in their professional learning. They guarantee the confidence of both students and patients, they make sure patients receive high-quality care, even when supervising tasks assigned to students and they make sure patients are duly informed and give their consent to be cared for by a student.
The entire tutorage system that supports clinical learning is subject to on-going evolution and student assessment. Indeed, every year, the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, in conjunction with the Ospedale San Raffaele Nursing Service, organises training courses for tutors regarding on-the-job learning.
There are approximately 200 internship supervisors, working in the various units. They are appointed annually by the Faculty Council, based on the proposals made by the Director of professional didactics.
