Master’s degree in Dentistry and Dental Implantology - Dental School
Master’s degree graduates are able to: perform a full range of dental interventions as part of a holistic patient management programme, without producing additional risks for people or the environment; identify treatment priorities compatibly with patient needs; work with other professionals to plan the interventions required to reduce dental disease in the community on the basis of their knowledge of the principles and practice of community dentistry.
The presence within Istituto San Raffaele of a Dentistry Service that constantly provides a large number of excellent clinical services every year, and weekly use of the operating theatre for complex oral surgery procedures allows students enrolled in the Bachelor’s degree course to attend non-routine procedures. This outlook led to the establishment of San Raffaele Dental School which features dedicated operating theatres, classrooms with patient simulators and teaching facilities able to satisfy today’s demands for excellence. The new Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry and Dental Implantology does not merely provide operational teaching, it also strives to train modern dentists who are ready for professional practice and possess the specific skills required for work in both the public and the private sector. The teaching of managerial subjects increasingly brings Italian graduates in line with their European peers. The most novel aspect of the Course lies in the possibility of training professionals to the levels of excellence that characterise San Raffaele, which boasts consolidated experience in the teaching and training field, providing them with insight into planning, programmes, managerial aspects and dental health planning.
