Durante oltre dieci anni di esperienza professionale presso l’Università di Londra (University College London- UCL) e durante precedenti esperienze presso prestigiosi Istituti di ricerca ed Università in Italia e negli USA (University of Washington, Seattle) e’ stata responsabile di progetti internazionali di rilevanza per la salute pubblica. Ha ricevuto il prestigioso premio della British Medical Association - BMA Gunton Award - in riconoscimento del contributo innovativo per la salute pubblica ed i tumori. E’ Academic Honorary Consultant in Public Health, Public Health England-NHS Digital ed e’ Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health, UK. Ha conseguito la Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia e la specialità in Igiene e Medicina Preventiva a Roma. Ha completato il Master ed il PhD in Epidemiologia presso l’Università di Londra (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - LSHTM). È autrice di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche su rinomate riviste internazionali su temi di sanità pubblica con particolare riguardo all’epidemiologia dei tumori. Ha attivi progetti di ricerca internazionali nel campo della diagnosi oncologica ed epidemiologia dei tumori in collaborazione con University College London- UCL, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine – LSHTM, University of Cambridge, University of Exeter, University of Utrecht-NL.
