Biography

Associate Professor of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at Vita Salute San Raffaele University, Milan, and Principal Clinical Research Fellow at University College London (UCL). She has over 20 years of experience in teaching and epidemiological research at prestigious research institutes and universities in Italy and abroad, including more than ten years at University College London (UCL), and previous extensive experience as an Epidemiologist and Public Health specialist in Italy and the USA (University of Washington, Seattle).

She received the prestigious British Medical Association - BMA Gunton Award - in recognition of her innovative contributions to public health and cancer. She is an Academic Honorary Consultant in Public Health, Public Health England-NHS Digital, and a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health, UK.

She is currently involved in international research projects on cancer diagnosis and epidemiology in collaboration with University College London (UCL), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), University of Cambridge, and University of Exeter. She has authored over 100 scientific publications in international journals on public health topics, particularly focusing on cancer epidemiology and diagnosis.

She obtained a Master's degree and PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - LSHTM (University of London). Previously, she earned a degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Specialization in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine in Rome (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Università la Sapienza).
