Level One and Level Two Master’s degrees

Vita-Salute San Raffaele University promotes courses of scientific proficiency and of permanent and recurrent higher education, at the conclusion of which first and second level Italian Professional Master's Degrees are awarded.

The Master's Degrees are fruit of the partnership between the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Psychology, but can also be Interfaculty, therefore implemented via a partnership between the different faculties.

Admission to level-one Master's Degree courses is permitted to students holding a university degree of at least three years in duration or other qualification issued abroad or in Italy which is considered suitable on the basis of applicable legislation.

Admission to level-two Master's Degree courses is permitted to students holding a master’s degree or a degree under the old Italian system or other qualification issued abroad which is considered suitable on the basis of applicable legislation.

The Professional Postgraduate Master's Degree Courses include lectures and may also incorporate distance learning, as well as other forms of learning and shadowing, including clinical experience. The activities usually take place over a period of 12 months and include an internship and the preparation of a final dissertation.

Students completing the above-mentioned activities in their entirety – corresponding to an individual study commitment totalling 1500 hours – are awarded 60 ECTS credits.
