Biography

Dr. Giuseppina Arbore is Researcher in Biochemistry at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, and Researcher in Immunology in the Division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases (DITID) at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute. Her scientific research activity is focussed in studying the molecular and biochemical mechanisms involved in autoimmunity, infectious diseases and cancer.

On 2011 Dr. Arbore started her research activity in Immunology in the United Kingdom, at the beginning in Cambridge University (Babraham Institute) and from 2012 at King’s College London. Here she studied novel molecular mechanisms involved in the regulation of immune response in autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, obtaining in 2016 the title of PhD in Immunology.  On 2017 Giuseppina Arbore moved back to Italy and started to work at the Experimental Immunology Unit at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute. She is currently studying the role of the immune system in cancer progression, and in particular immune responses directed against esophageal cancer, in collaboration with the Gastroenterology Surgery Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital.
