Research interests

My lab studies molecular mechanisms involved in nervous system development, and disrupted in neurodevelopmental disorders. Recent studies have dealt with cerebellar development and malformation, with a focus on cerebellar neurogenesis and corticogenesis. Our lab has also contributed to other analyses of neural development, including studies of the cerebral cortex, spinal cord, retina, hypothalamus, peripheral nerve and autonomic nervous system. In addition, we have participated in developmental studies of extraneural tissues, including the bone, hematopoietic system and genital organs, by providing and analyzing murine models. Finally, our lab has collaborated with prominent Italian and international groups in the analysis of neural and mesenchymal stem cell biology.

81 publications. My H factor index is 30.
