CLINICAL INTERESTS

Multimodal treatment of pancreatic tumors (pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, cystic neoplasms/intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms, neuroendocrine tumors); open and minimally invasive surgery of pancreas and biliary tree; acute and chronic pancreatitis; familial pancreatic cancer; upper GI tract surgery; hernia; emergency and trauma surgery (Division of Emergency Surgery, San Raffaele Scientific Institute); surveillance of cystic neoplasms of the pancreas

Dr Crippa performed more than 1200 surgical procedure sas first operator/tutor, mainly in the setting of pancreatic surgery

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Dr Crippa is first author or co-author of 160 peer-reviewed paper -  H index (Scopus): 41, total number of citations > 6000.

Research interests:

  1. Prognostic factors and therapeutic strategies for the management of pancreatic cancer and IPMNs
  2. Translational research applied to pancreatic cancer and IPMNs;
  3. Identification of new biomarkers of malignancy in pancreatic cystic lesions
  4. Risk factors for complications after pancreatic surgery
  5. Application of minimally invasive surgery in pancreatic surgery
