Biography
Valeria Fumagalli is Researcher in General Pathology at UniSR and Research Immunologist in the laboratory of Matteo Iannacone at San Raffaele Scientific Institute. She obtained her PhD in Molecular Medicine at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2020. She is interested in studying the complex dynamics of host-virus interactions with a particular focus on the function of immune response and seeks to dissect the role of innate lymphoid cells and B cells in mouse models of HBV pathogenesis. During the last three years, she has played a leading role in establishing novel mouse models of SARS-CoV-2 infection to study pathogenesis and to test vaccines and and antivirals.
