Biography
Biography
Following a degree in Physics and a PhD in Biophysics awarded at the University of Genoa under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Diaspro, Prof. Davide Mazza was appointed a post-doctoral position at the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institutes (Bethesda, MD, USA). In 2012, Prof. Mazza returned to Italy with European Marie Curie Fellowship, and he currently leads the Imaging of Gene Regulation Unit at the Experimental Imaging Center of the San Raffaele Scientific Institute. He authored 50+ pubblications in international peer-reviewed journals and he has been awarded multiple national and international research grants. The research of Prof. Mazza focuses on developing novel microscopy techniques and to apply them to identify the action mechanism of onco-suppressors and oncogenes in living cells.
