Born in Pescara on 25/4/1975

Degree with honors and academic mention in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics in Chieti in 1999

PhD in Odontostomatological Sciences at the University of Chieti

PhD in Masticatory Physiology and Dental Materials at the University of Turin

Specialist in Orthodontics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome

Curriculum

From 2000 to 2011 she attended the Department of Odontostomatological Sciences of the University G.D’Annunzio, Chieti, dedicating herself to clinical and basic research in the field of dentistry

From 2014 to 2017 she was University Researcher at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan

Since 2017 she is Associate Professor at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan

Since 2017 she has been a Consultant at the San Raffaele Hospital, Dentistry Unit.

From 2000 to date she has been the holder of research funding from public funding agencies (European Community) and private firms.

 

Research Areas

The research activity of Prof. Simona Tecco is mainly focused on the study of pediatric dentistry, with particular regard to orthodontic problems, and to new technologies in the sector. The research works are mainly of a clinical nature. Another area of ​​study concerns the study of the physiology and pathology of the temporomandibular joints and related cranio-cervical problems. Prof. Tecco is a member of the Editorial Board of several journals in the field; and active member of international associations and academies in the field.
