International Postdoctoral Programme

The San Raffaele International Postdoctoral Programme was launched for the development and the support of a growing postdoctoral comunity.
The San Raffaele International Postdoctoral Programme is active within Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR) and Ospedale San Raffaele (OSR) that are part of one of the largest biomedical science parks in Europe renowned as a leading research structure in the field of Molecular Medicine in Italy and worldwide. The integration between excellence in teaching, innovation in research and optimal patient care is the mission of the San Raffaele biomedical campus.
UniSR comprises the Faculties of Psychology, Medicine and Philosophy offering a wide range of Degree courses, including both national and international MD Programmes. Within the campus, UniSR forms an integral part with OSR research institutes and hospital, providing many opportunities to students, teachers, researchers and doctors.
Being enrolled in the Programme offers a unique chance to be trained in cutting-edge research topics and state-of-the art techniques in a highly supportive, intensely collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, exposing fellows to both academic and corporate settlements.
Current fields of research on campus are Molecular Oncology, Neuroscience, Genetics and Cell Biology, Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases, Metabolic and Cardiovascular Sciences, Regenerative Medicine Stem Cells and Gene Therapy, Translational Genomics and Bioinformatics and Experimental Imaging.
In line with the commitment to a life-long training of the future generation of scientists and science-related professionals, the programme offers postdocs not only to gain new research skills, but also to be exposed to scientific writing, communication, report preparation, grant writing, patent applications and project management.

Last but not least, the city of Milan offers an active, cultural and international environment, conveniently located near some of the most important Italian historical sites, including Venice and Florence, and within a two-hour drive from the Mediterranean coasts and the Alps.
