Equal opportunities supervisory committee

Le arti per il CUG is a project by the Equal opportunities supervisory committee UniSR, conceived in collaboration with colleagues from the Master’s Degree in Theory and History of the Arts and the Image of the Faculty of Philosophy.

The project aims to promote the cultural renewal of our University through meetings with writers, seminars on artists, and visits to their exhibitions, theatrical performances, and film screenings.

To counteract discrimination, bias, and stereotypes, theory is not enough. Alongside seminars - which teach us what biases and stereotypes are - experiences of diversity and inclusivity are needed, along with reflections on discrimination and inequalities in the distilled and salient forms that art is capable of making us experience. Works of art embody visions and creative practices that can change the world of those who experience them and thus contribute to the construction of more egalitarian and inclusive cultures.
