Assistant Professor (RTDa) of Applied Physics at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, where she conducts research in biophysics and the quantitative characterization of biological processes. Using quantitative live-cell imaging and mathematical modeling, her research focuses on the dynamics of cellular signaling, with a particular interest in the mechanisms underlying cellular responses during inflammation and in the role of signaling dynamics in determining therapeutic response and cell fate in cancer cell.

She obtained her PhD, with the Doctor Europaeus distinction, in Physical, Chemical and Materials Sciences and Technologies from the University of Calabria, where her research focused on the characterization of model lipid membrane dynamics and protein–lipid interactions using advanced spectroscopic techniques. During her PhD, she carried out a research stay at the Institute of Structural Biology in Grenoble, France.
