Residential Aortic Course - Observership
Learning Objectives
The Course is designed to offer state-of-the-art, case-based guidance on both basic and advanced endovascular aortic interventions, as well as open aortic surgery. This workshop will cover the latest developments in treating the aortic aneurysms and dissertions. Participants will gain experience and learn "how to do it" through daily live case demonstrations and discussion, workshops, lessons, and training in 3D workstation use and advanced imaging applications.
The workshop will showcase the promising results that can be achieved with EVAR, TEVAR, branched and fenestrated endorafting, as well as open aortic surgery. Attendees will have direct access to these experts for real-time questions and answers, ensuring a rich and interactive learning experience.
Target
The course is aimed at Surgeons, specialists, or residents in Vascular Surgery or related disciplines. The course delivery period can be established on demand based on the availability of the participants and the faculty.
The course consists of theoretical and practical on-site sessions delivered English, structured as follows:
- Presentation of clinical cases;
- Observership: inpatient & outpatient clinic, operating room;
- Lectures / hands-on workshops;
- Discussion of clinical cases.
The course has a total duration of approximately 50 hours, delivered over 5 days (10 hours per day) at the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Via Olgettina 58, Milan. The course delivery period can be established on demand based on the availability of the participants and the faculty.

The course is aimed at surgeons, specialists, or residents in Vascular Surgery or related disciplines.
International Candidates are additionally requested to provide:
1. Legalized translation of the Degree Diploma.
2. Declaration of Value (to be issued by the Italian Embassy/Consulate where the degree was obtained) or the Statement of Comparability.
The possession of the access requirements is verified during the pre-registration phase. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available spots, the selection will be made through a motivational interview.
Application is possible for the entire year 2025 (until the maximum number of participants is reached).
