The Call for Admission to the Master's Degree in Biotechnology for Innovative Therapeutics for the academic year 2025-2026 reserved for NON-EU candidates is published in the boxes below.
Admission to the Master's Degree in Biotechnology for Innovative Therapeutics is based on selection through the UniSR admission test. This test is mandatory for all candidates wishing to access the course. Other exams or scores cannot substitute the UniSR admission test.
- Quotas for EU and NON EU candidates:
Every year there is a limited number of places for the Course: a quota for EU candidates and another one for non-EU candidates.
The admission test is organized accordingly for each quota and is regulated by a specific Call for Admission (‘Bando di concorso’), which includes information on opening and closing of registrations, fees and enrolment documents and deadlines.

UK citizens NOT residing in Italy are considered "NON-EU citizens residing abroad" unless otherwise noted in the future by the Italian Ministry of University and Research or the Italian Ministry of Interior.
- Non-Italian academic qualifications:
Candidates having a non-Italian academic qualification or attending the last year of an international University/College must register for the competition at least 5 days before the deadline: they will be able to register for the test only after having received the evaluation of the academic documents.

This quota does NOT include non-EU citizens who already reside in Italy or non-EU citizens with dual citizenship one of which is Italian or European. It also does NOT include citizens from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See State of Vatican City. The aforementioned candidates must participate in the EU competition.

This call is reserved for European candidates only.
The EU quota includes European citizens, non-European citizens residing in Italy, non-European citizens with EU equal status and citizens from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See State of Vatican City.
The Call for admission reserved for EU candidates for the academic year 2025-2026 will be published here below in the next few months.
- To register for the admission test on the UniSR Admissions Portal you will need:
- Personal email account that you use frequently: you will receive all the information here during the entire selection process, from registration for the test to enrolment
- Identity document/passport
- Italian tax code (only for Italian citizens)
- If you have a non-Italian diploma or are studying in a foreign/international school or in an Italian school abroad, prepare the following documents to upload to the portal during registration:
- Report cards/transcripts/predicted grades
- If available, final diploma
- If required by your school system and if already passed, certifications or university entrance exams (APs, YKS, ENEM etc.)
- Any translations, declaration of value, legalization/apostille or any other document already in your possession that can help us with the verification.
Attention: in this case you will have to wait for our evaluation before you can register for the test. Don't wait until the last minute to register!
- If you are a non-EU citizen holding a residence permit or a diplomatic passport, upload these documents to the portal when filling in your personal data
- Starting 5 days before the test, you will receive via email the technical instructions for taking the test. You will be asked to carry out a check requirement to verify that the devices and the workstation where you will carry out the actual test are suitable. It is important to carry out the test at least one day before the test.
- Information on the Admission Test
The admission test consists of a multiple-choice questionnaire. The test is entirely in English and consists of 60 questions divided as follows:
• 36 questions on logic, problem-solving and reading comprehension
• 24 questions on scientific subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics)
Candidates have 80 minutes to complete the test.
The admissions test questions are managed by a third party and randomly extracted from a database of questions that are property of Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele.
The scores are calculated as follows:
• 1 point for each correct answer
• -0.25 points for each incorrect answer
• 0 points for each non answered question
