Men's basketball

UniSR Basketball is a cornerstone of the student community at UniSR. The team was founded several years ago and has progressively established itself in sports, reaching three final fours and one championship game in the Campionati Milanesi Universitari (CMU). In the past two seasons, we also competed against tens of European universities in the World InterUniversities Champions (WIUC), traveling to Barcelona and Paris, winning 5th place on one occasion.

UniSR Basketball holds an ambitious vision for the UniSR student community. Thanks to the hard work and commitment of all its members, our group has gained several achievements at competitive level over the years and has by now extended its reach beyond the court, becoming one the pillars of UniSR campus. A renewed partnership with the UniSR departments dedicated to student activities has brought the team at center stage in the promotion campus events, including health awareness campaigns, social media contents, and official student parties.

The roster is made up of 15-20 players, and more students show up at tryouts each year for a chance to become part of the team. Whether you make the team or not, we strongly believe that UniSR Basketball is not merely a basketball team: it is the focal point of a community that extends way beyond the gym, bringing students together from many student associations across UniSR, including sports, culture, and entertainment.
