the pathogenesis and immunotherapy of autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases;

the immunopathology and treatment of Immune-related adverse effects of cancer immunotherapy

the mechanisms of histiocyte recruitment and activation in Erdheim-Chester disease
the role of infectious agents (and in particular of human herpesviruses) in the pathogenesis of human diseases (and in particular in vasculitides) and the mechanisms such agents exploit to escape immune surveillance
the role of γδ T lymphocytes in the immune response against pathogens (and in particular against Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and in the killing of malignant or infected cells;
the role of the lymphocyte activation-induced cell death in vivo and in vitro, either as a tumor escape mechanism, or as a damaged pathway in the diseases characterized by impaired apoptosis, such as the autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (the Canale-Smith syndrome);
