Biography

Andrea Fossati is full professor of psychometrics at San Raffaele University, Milan, Italy. He is the head of the Personality Disorder Assessment Team of the Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Unit, San Raffaele Turro Hospital, Milan, Italy. His research activity is focused on quantitative methods in clinical psychology. Specific research interests include the assessment of adaptive and maladaptive personality traits, personality disorders, and pathologies related to impulsiveness and aggressiveness.

He is a member of the Revision Group for the ICD-11 classification of personality disorders, and from 2007 he is Board Member of the International Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (ISSPD). He is charter member of the Italian Association for the Study of Personality Disorders (AISDP) and the former president of the AISDP.  He was also charter member of the International Society for Research on Impulsivity (ISRI), He currently serves as an Editorial Board member for Assessment, Personality Disorders: Theory, Research and Treatment, and Psychopathology and Behavioral Assessment.
