Biography

Maria A. Rocca is Associate Professor of Neurology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and Head of the Neuroimaging of CNS White Matter Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute.

Her research activity has been focused on the use of MRI to improve diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the CNS white matter, especially multiple sclerosis. She is also devoted to the implementation of structural and functional MR techniques to improve the understanding of CNS function in healthy subjects and the progressive accumulation of irreversible disability in neurological diseases, mainly MS, vasculitis, and migraine.

Maria A. Rocca has always coupled her relentless research activity with a significant clinical engagement, being involved in outpatient clinics and clinical trials.
