The Philosophy of Theatre

Among the formative purposes of the course is the development of the insights needed for an aware vision of the theatrical event and the analyses, in philosophical terms, of the elements of the history and theory of Theatre. There will be time to ponder over various aspects of the language of theatre like the job of the actor, the direction, the stage design, the photography and the music. Various features of the history of theatre, from ancient times to contemporary experimentation, will also be brought into focus.
