Area di ricerca ed interesse

Malattie infiammatorie intestinali, chirurgia oncologica del colon e retto e protocolli di riabilitazione perioperatoria (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) volti a ridurre le degenze e le complicanze chirurgiche.  Investigatore in numerosi trials nazionali ed internazionali sull’approccio mininvasivo alla patologia del colon e retto. Membro del gruppo di studio “International Rectal Cancer Study Group” con il quale ha partecipato in qualità di co-autore alla stesura di algoritmi e linee guida nel trattamento delle problematiche inerenti la chirurgia dei tumori del retto. Membro attivo del Onco-Team promosso dalla “Società Italiana di Chirurgia  Oncologica “ avente come scopo la stesura di linee guida e la promozione di studi scientifici multicentrici inerenti alla patologia neoplastica del colon e retto. E’ autore  o co-autore  di  68 pubblicazioni scientifiche indexate  e 11 capitoli di libri. Ha tenuto 69 letture ad invito nei principali meeting nazionali ed internazionali ed è revisore  delle principali riviste internazionali nel campo della chirurgia colo rettale.

Premi e riconoscimenti :

1992:   Vincitore di un grant di ricerca della Surgical Infection Society sul progetto “Impatto  della trasfusione di sangue allogenico e della  Timopentina  sulla sopravvivenza in un modello animale

1993 : Vincitore di un grant di ricerca promosso dalla Fondazione Zeneca per lo studio

delle sequele immunologiche delle trasfusioni perioperatorie

1995 : Vincitore di una borsa di Studio CNR-NATO per lo studio delle malattie infiammatorie intestinali

1998  Migliore lavoro pubblicato USA  nell’anno 1997 nell’ambito della specialità chirurgia colorettale (American Society Colo Rectal Surgeons ; ASCRS  Chigaco)

2002 Migliore lavoro apparso nella letteratura internazionale   nell’anno 1997 nell’ambito del trattamento dei tumori del colon e retto ( ASCRS, New Orleans)

Andrea Vignali was born on May 19, 1964 in Brescia , Italy

Research Areas

Inflammatory bowel disease, Colon and rectal cancer and early recovery after surgery protocols aiming to shorten the postoperative length of stay and the incidence of postoperative complications.   Investigator  of many trials focused on laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Member of the International Rectal cancer Study Group and co-Author of recommendations and algorithms for treatment of rectal cancer patients. Member of the Onco-TEAM, promoted by the Italian Society of Oncologic Surgery focused on the creation of  guidelines and clinical  trials in the  field of colon and rectal cancer .He is the author or co-author of 68 Full Papers on Peer-Reviewed Journals and 11 book chapters He has attended as invited speaker at 69 national and  International Meetings. He acts a reviewer for the main International  Colorectal Journals
