World University Rankings 2018: UniSR on the Italian podium
On September 5th, 2017 has been published the World University Rankings 2018 by THE Times Higher Education, which, together with QS, is among the most important and well-known rankings in the world. In the World University Rankings 2018, the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University is ranked among 201-250 on the 1000 international universities valued. Thirty-nine are the Italian University present in the ranking, among which UniSR is ranked third in equal rank with the University of Bologna. If we go through the ranking, considering the sole “Citations” indicator, we are placed 44th ahead of the Karolinska Institute, 38th in the overall ranking. On the podium for this indicator there are international giants such as the Emory University (USA), University of California LA, Cornell University, University of Cambridge. Looking at compatriots, always for the World University Rankings 2018, at top positions there are the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (position #155 in the World Ranking), the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (#184) and third placed the University of Bologna with Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (position 201-250).
