Overview

Dental hygiene graduates are healthcare professionals pertaining to the technical diagnostic and technical care areas who perform, in full professional autonomy, the technical procedures needed to perform diagnostic techniques on biological materials or patients.

They are equipped with training in the basic disciplines in order to allow the best possible understanding of the pathological processes that take place in the developmental age, adulthood and old age, on which their diagnostic intervention focuses.

The Bachelor’s degree trains professionals specialising in the performance of oral hygiene prevention protocols, with an in-depth understanding of the various sterilisation procedures and who also take part in management and managerial tasks. They also provide health education and participate in national health service primary prevention initiatives.
