Basic and Applied Immunology and Oncology
The Curriculum of Basic and Applied Immunology and Oncology (BAIO) involves more than 40 research groups actively working in the fields of immunology, oncology, immunopathology, virology and bacteriology in clinical and pre-clinical settings.
Basic research and translational projects employ cutting-edge methodologies such as genetically-modified mice models, intra-vital imaging, genomic analyses and gene-therapy approaches.
In addition to the general activities of the PhD, the Curriculum offers training in presentation skills through progress reports, typically organized in a workshop format, Journal Clubs, and a hands-on course in bioinformatics.
Students are offered a comprehensive Training program.
