Basic and Applied Immunology and Oncology
The Curriculum of Basic and Applied Immunology and Oncology (BAIO) involves more than 40 research groups actively working in the fields of immunology and immunotherapy, molecular oncology, virology and bacteriology in clinical and pre-clinical settings.
Basic research and translational projects employ cutting-edge methodologies such as genetically-modified animal models, intra-vital imaging and genomic analyses and transcriptomics of the new generation.
In addition to the general activities of the PhD, the Curriculum offers training in presentation skills (workshop format, Journal Clubs),of writing scientific publications and requests for funding, of bioinformatics.
