Admission Requirements

The Master’s programme is designed for the full spectrum of translational medicine practitioners. It is intended for professionals and graduates who play — or aspire to play — an active role at any stage of the translational medicine continuum, from scientific discovery to real-world implementation and impact on patient care.

The programme deliberately embraces the diversity of roles that define modern translational medicine, recognizing that progress in this field requires the coordinated contribution of scientific, clinical, regulatory, legal, entrepreneurial, financial, and industrial expertise.

We welcome applications from a broad and interdisciplinary range of professional backgrounds, including but not limited to:

  • Professionals with training or experience in biomedical, scientific, healthcare, or life science–related fields
  • Clinicians, researchers, scientists, and healthcare professionals involved in clinical research, therapeutic innovation, or healthcare development
  • Professionals from adjacent or complementary fields such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, medical devices, digital health, innovation, policy, and regulatory environments
  • Legal professionals, including regulatory and healthcare lawyers, intellectual property experts, and professionals involved in compliance and governance
  • Venture capital professionals, investors, financiers, and fund managers engaged in life sciences, healthcare innovation, or biomedical entrepreneurship
  • Executives, managers, and leaders from industry, ranging from large pharmaceutical companies to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the translational medicine ecosystem
  • Individuals seeking to transition from academia or healthcare into industry, innovation, leadership, regulatory, or entrepreneurial pathways

Eligibility

Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification and demonstrate a clear professional interest, involvement, or strategic role within translational medicine, healthcare, life sciences, or closely related sectors.

The programme values diversity of professional perspectives as a core educational and strategic asset. It is intended for candidates motivated to acquire the interdisciplinary knowledge, skills, and collaborative mindset necessary to operate effectively across the breadth and depth of the translational medicine field.

Application

2026/2027 Admissions to the II level Master in International Translational Medicine are now open!

The deadline to apply, through the online application portal PICA, is September 30th 2026 (11:59 PM, CET) (Master Code: 2026-01)

In order to complete your application, please prepare the following documents in PDF format (max 30Mbyte) to be uploaded:

1) Passport

2) Degree along with final grade and legalized translation

3) Final Degree Thesis (index, abstract, title)

4) Specialization Degree and PHD along with final thesis (if in possession of)

5) Curriculum Vitae and Motivation Letter

6) Scientific Pubblications

International Candidates are additionally requested to provide:

  1. Legalized translation of the Degree Diploma.
  2. Declaration of Value (to be issued by the Italian Embassy/Consulate where the degree was obtained) or the Statement of Comparability.

Should you not be able to complete your application in one session, you can access the admission portal several times in order to do so.

Once the application is submitted, you will receive a confimation email/integration request from UniSR Master Office.

The Title evaluation and the interview will take place once admissions will be closed, starting from September 30th, 2026.

A professional medical insurance will be requested upon enrollment.

Evaluation and Feedback

The access to the Master Program is subject to an evaluation of the candidate's academic and professional titles, for a total of 40 points.

The Evaluation Board will use the following criteria to establish the Admission Ranking:

  • Academic career (graduation grade, relevance of the degree thesis): up to 5 points;
  • Specialization (type, grade and relevant thesis): up to 5 points
  • PHD (type, grade and relevant thesis): up to 5 points
  • Scientific publications in subjects relevant to the course: up to 5 points.
  • Curriculum Vitae and Motivation Letter: up to 10 points.
  • Interview: up to 10 point

Please notice that should the evaluation of your application receive a total score below of 15 points, it will be considered not eligible for admission to the Master.

Once the qualifications-based evaluation is complete, in the section Admissions Ranking and Enrollment you will find the ranking list with admitted candidates, followed by candidates who are suitable but not high enough in the ranking and subsequentely, candidates who are not admitted.
