Center for Behavioral Neuroscience and Communication

Presentation

The International Center for Behavioral Neuroscience and Communication (BNC) is born to strengthen research collaborations between Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR) and Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) in the fields of Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience and Communication. Its overall purpose is to catalyze, synergize and optimize the available resources for the study of neural mechanisms driving human and animal behavior, in both physiological and pathological contexts, through the development of novel methods for the study and quantitative analysis of behavior and brain activity.

On an organization level, the center promotes UniSR and USI synergism through the coordination of new shared research projects and organizing theoretical and practical courses, as well as seminars and conferences addressed to both Professors and Master/PhD students. In addition, the center aims to build a bridge for exchanges between UniSR and USI researchers, PhD and Master students. Thirdly, the center engages in fundraising for innovative research projects, new teaching programs and doctoral schools.
