Philosophy and Business Unit

The proper use of philosophy for business

To overcome the traditional separation between economic/managerial knowledge and philosophical knowledge, grounding philosophy in the practical realities and establishing a relationship of mutual exchange with the realms of business and entrepreneurship.

The Birth of the Philosophy and Business Unit

The Philosophy and Business Unit is aimed at all representatives of the academic world, businesses, public organizations, and third-sector entities who are eager to collaborate in promoting a new culture of doing business that can reconcile economic, productive, and ethical-social values.

An already initiated relationship between philosophy and business

The aim is to create a shared space for mutually beneficial exchange between philosophical knowledge, business experiences, and organizational and management issues, with the goal of blending languages, experiences, and problem analysis methods.

A new economic and social paradigm

Many challenges drive transformation in the business world, particularly those related to sustainable transition and digital innovation. To ensure they are well managed, it is necessary to unmask illusory formulas (such as greenwashing) and develop a concrete concept of social justice and responsible innovation.

The stakes are high, requiring coordinated and responsible action from a variety of actors, both public and private. Consequently, it calls for a level of thinking that is commensurate with this action.

Thanks to the exercise of critical-creative thinking, philosophy makes its expertise available to contribute, alongside other disciplines and knowledge, to the construction of an economic and social horizon that aligns with criteria of value that are not only economic but also ethical and social.
