International Medical Doctor Program

By becoming an IMDP student at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University you will have access to San Raffaele Hospital, a Healthcare Institution and Research Center which is part of the San Donato Group, the largest private healthcare group in Italy. 

The Hospital is a national reference center for molecular medicine, diabetes and metabolic diseases, as well as biotechnology and bio-imaging. It also has a highly specialized Accident and Emergency Department that serves a vast area.

Starting from the third year, clinical rotations are carried out at San Raffaele Hospital and in other prestigious healthcare institutions of the San Donato Group, allowing  IMDP students to put into practice everything they've learned in their first two years of training and to gain solid knowledge and excellent professional skills. 

Part of the clinical activities can be organized abroad especially during the last terms of the program as specific training for the students’ final graduation thesis.

With more than a hundred research laboratories, scientific research at San Raffaele covers all fields of biomedical studies. The integration of basic, translational and clinical research creates synergies that allow students to study in a renowned scientific center recognized at the international level
