Expo Dubai 2020, the most important global event ever organized in the area that includes the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, also sees the participation of one #TalentiUniSR: Beatrice Bonà, graduating in Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy. The Volunteers Program, to which UniSR has joined, aims at involving the best students from Italian universities and creating a community of volunteers-in-training who help to welcome and guide visitors to the Italian Pavilion during the six months of Expo Dubai.

Among the numerous applications, Beatrice is one of the few students to have passed the careful selection, including various demographic and career requirements, an average exam of not less than 25/30 and an excellent knowledge of the English language. "The best part of studying at UniSR - says Beatrice - is the opportunity to interact with prominent professors, and the opportunity to have a more direct and helpful relationship with them than at other universities. Another advantage is to follow the lessons in classes that are not overcrowded, where the dialogue with classmates and teachers can be richer”.

Name

Beatrice Bonà

Your university studies

I have finished all the exams of the Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, I just have to discuss my thesis and graduate when I finish my curricular internship at the Dubai Expo.

Why you enrolled at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University

I enrolled in UniSR for the opportunity to study Philosophy in a modernized and innovative way, as something that can have a value in contemporary society and not just a story to keep in books.

What opportunities our University has given you

I would certainly name the opportunity I am experiencing at this exact moment: the possibility of doing a three-month internship at the Dubai Universal Exposition.

What you currently do

I am currently doing my curricular internship at the Italian Pavilion of the Expo. Me and thirty other young people are engaged in welcoming, informing and guiding the exhibition path of the Pavilion for national and international visitors, as well as public presentation activities or management support activities for the General Commissioner of Italy.

The main strength of the education provided by San Raffaele

The best part of studying at UniSR is the opportunity to interact with prominent professors, and the opportunity to have a more direct and helpful relationship with them than in other universities. I would also name the advantage of following the lessons in non-overcrowded classrooms, where the dialogue with classmates and teachers can be richer.

Your best quality

Wisdom and a critical sense.

Favorite quote

A quote from Kant: "I feel a complete thirst for knowledge and an eager unrest to go further in it as well as satisfaction at every acquisition. There was a time when I believed that this alone could constitute the honor of mankind, and I had contempt for the ignorant rabble who know nothing. Rousseau brought me around. This blinding superiority disappeared, I learned to honor human beings".

Your dream

Being able to dedicate my life to culture and beauty.
