Your university pathway

I earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Medical Biotechnology and a PhD in Basic and Applied Immunology at the San Raffale University. During my PhD I had the honor of working with Dr. Attilio Bondanza and Dr. Monica Casucci in a project that led to the development of a new cellular product (CAR-T) specific to an antigen, called CD44v6, expressed by multiple tumors. After my PhD, I moved to the United States to pursue a PostDoc at Stanford University, where I specialized in tissue regeneration and the relationship between stem cells and aging

Why did you choose the San Raffaele University

The course in Biotechnology had only been open for a few years at the time but I was impressed by the quality of its Professors, all doctors and/or researchers at the adjacent Hospital. The proximity to the Hospital also gave a tangible strength and purpose to the program
