Rotelli Lectures 2021: The Seduction of Sovereignty

From the 2nd to the 6th of November 2021, Professor Seyla Benhabib will give the Rotelli Lectures at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. The theme for this year’s Lectures will be "The Seduction of Sovereignty. A Democratic and Cosmopolitan Critique."

The Lectures will be delivered online on Microsoft teams.

    Lecture 3: “Transformation of Sovereignty. Constitutionalism and Judicial Review”

    Lecture 4: “Sovereignty and the Legitimacy of International Law”
    Discussant: Alessandro Volpe (IRCECP)

  • 6 November, 4.00 pm - 6.30 pm (CEST)
    Lecture 5: “The ‘Right to have Rights’: Popular Sovereignty and the Boundaries of the Demos”
    Discussant: Mitja Sardoč (ERI (Ljubljana), CeSEP) 

All the Lectures will be given in English.

The event is open to everyone. For all those who are not San Raffaele University’s students or academic staff, registration is required. In order to register, please send an email to cattedrarotelli@unisr.it. Prior to the event, instructions for accessing the Lectures will be sent via email to all those who have registered.
