Mission

CRISI’s activities are guided by three core goals:

1) To promote the history of ideas as an autonomous and strategic discipline, capable of connecting diverse forms of knowledge and offering critical tools to analyze the cultural and conceptual dynamics that shape Western and global thought.

2) To enhance the value of the history of philosophy, not merely as an intellectual legacy, but as a key to understanding today’s theoretical challenges. In this regard, CRISI engages with the full development of philosophy – from ancient origins to modern and contemporary currents – placing it within the broader history of thought.

3) To train a new generation of scholars who can navigate different disciplines and methodologies with a solid historical and conceptual grounding, while remaining open to the theoretical and cultural challenges of the present.
