Research Approach
CRISI adopts a pluralistic and innovative research model that integrates:
- Traditional historical-philosophical analysis, focused on texts, contexts, and key conceptual shifts.
- Tools from contemporary human sciences, such as the archaeology of knowledge, metaphorology, genealogy, and historical pragmatism.
- Theoretical reflection on the very notion of “history of ideas”, interrogating its epistemological assumptions, narrative frameworks, and disciplinary implications.
- Quantitative methods and digital humanities, applied to conceptual history to identify patterns, transformations, and continuities within philosophical and cultural languages.
This methodological openness reflects the Center’s commitment to combining theoretical rigor, philological precision, and analytical innovation.
