Financial Aid programs for Students

In placing the student at the center of its initiatives, UniSR has decided to grant eligible students the status of Student Athlete.

To obtain this status, it is necessary to submit your admission application for the Student Athlete program by October 31, 2023 (12:00 PM CET) following the procedures outlined in the specific section of this page.

Furthermore, UniSR has made available 3 merit awards, which will be granted based on the regulations detailed on this page, for students who have already applied for the Student Athlete program.

Vita Salute San Raffaele University offers high-level athletes the Student Athlete Status program to enable them to balance their university education with their athletic career.

High-level athletes are those who fall within the categories specified in the Agreement Protocol between the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), the Italian Rectors' Conference (CRUI), the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), the Italian University Sports Center (CUSI), and the National Association of Italian University Sports (ANDISU) for 'Support to the University Careers of High-Level Athletes,' dated December 16, 2016.

Students enrolled in the academic year 2023/2024 or those enrolling in the first year of a program for the academic year 2023/2024 can apply for the Student Athlete Status program.

The measures provided for the benefit of 'student-athletes' are detailed for each Bachelor's, Master's, and Single-Cycle Master's Degree program in Annexes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, which are an integral part of the published announcement.

Applications for participation in the program must be submitted from June 26, 2023, at 12:00 PM to October 31, 2023, at 12:00 PM by accessing The reserved area in the Student Intranet> Menu "Student centre" > "financial Assistance and Awards".

The online application for participation must be accompanied by the Self-certification Form 'Admission Application' (Annex 14 of the Announcement) with the details of the sports career that motivates participation in the announcement in PDF format, as well as the supporting documents required in the form itself.

For the academic year 2023/2024, UniSR offers three merit awards to be granted based on income, sports and academic merit criteria to students enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's, and Single-Cycle Master's Degree programs.

All those who, at the time of submitting the merit award application, are enrolled or enrolling in the first year and have submitted an application for admission to the Student Athlete Status program at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University for the academic year 2023/2024, are eligible to participate.

Admission to the Student Athlete Status program is a necessary requirement for inclusion in the rankings.
