Blended Intensive Programmes
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program 2021-2027, Vita-Salute San Raffaele University promotes the introduction of Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP).
Developed by groups of higher education institutions with an innovative pedagogical approach, BIPs involve short periods of face-to-face activities combined with online learning and cooperation activities, the latter generally preceding the former and aimed at facilitating collaboration in educational exchanges and teamwork.
Physical mobility ranges from 5 to 30 days.
There is no fixed minimum duration for the virtual component; however, combined physical and virtual mobility must allocate a minimum of 3 ECTS credits to students.
A blended intensive program (BIP) can originate from an existing program that is renewed in delivery methods or can be entirely new, focused on specific topics not taught elsewhere. The innovative formula of blended intensive programs is designed for the development of transnational and transdisciplinary curricula, innovative teaching and learning methods, including online collaboration, as well as to stimulate research-based learning through a "challenge-based" approach strongly connected to the current context.
