The cultural meeting, scheduled for Sunday, April 14, at 2 pm, will be devoted to the changing identities of the contemporary photographic image, whose evolutionary dynamics are now located at the intersection of the natural and the artificial, expressions of the intertwining of technological innovation and creative experimentation. In the context of such hybrid ecosystems, photography is projecting itself into renewed expressive frontiers, experimenting with new material media that allow for unprecedented forms of experience: from the roots of the digital format, to the moving image, to generative photography.
This identity metamorphosis finds its highest expression in the performative dimension of the image, tending toward the kinematic, just as the emerging frontiers of the virtual redefine the traditional paradigms of storytelling, where the word becomes an immersive image and the narrative becomes a first-person lived experience shared in real time. The meeting is dedicated to reflect in a transdisciplinary key on the evolution of the different identity expressions of the contemporary image, made possible by the new technological frontiers, ranging from artistic creativity to storytelling and performance.
