What are intuitions and what role do they play in philosophy

Abstract: This talk goes through various accounts of what intuitions are and various views of the role they play in philosophical argumentation. I outline the view defended in my book Philosophy without Intuitions, and at the end describe how philosophy can be done without any appeal to intuitions.
